Numeracy is the ability to understand and use maths in daily life, at home, and at work. Whether that be improving household finances, helping children with homework, making more sense of the stats and facts in the media, or improving numeracy skills specific to your line of work.

People who improve their numeracy skills are more likely to be in employment, have higher wages, and better well-being, and will be more able to progress to higher levels of free training to secure a skilled job in our economy.

Businesses that develop their employees’ numeracy skills can boost productivity, increase profits, and improve employee retention.

  • Adults who don’t already have a GCSE grade C/4 or higher in Maths will be able to access free courses that fit around their lives – whether that be in person or online, at work or in the evening, part time or intensive – with additional support to meet their needs.
  • Employers can boost their workforce’s skills by accessing free bespoke courses from Stamford College / Peterborough College / IEG Maths GCSEs to support their teams in career development and wellbeing. In return local businesses can improve their retention and identify effective CPD.
