IEG Official Response to 2025 Budget Announcements

Following yesterday's Budget announcements affecting apprenticeships, skills funding and the Youth Guarantee, Inspire Education Group has issued the following statement:

"Yesterday’s Budget announcement provides helpful clarity for employers and young people, particularly the removal of co-investment costs for under-25 apprentices in small and medium-sized businesses. This change will make apprenticeship opportunities more accessible and will support local employers at a time when skills shortages remain a challenge across many sectors.

"The additional investment in the Youth Guarantee aligns with our mission at Inspire Education Group to ensure every young person has a clear route into education, training or employment. We are committed to playing our part in supporting more young people into meaningful careers and helping employers develop the talent they need.

"It is also important that the wider skills system supports people of all ages to access training and progress in work as industries evolve. Ensuring that adults can gain new skills and adapt to emerging opportunities remains vital for long-term economic growth across our region.

"IEG will continue to work closely with employers, local partners and national bodies to ensure that both young people and adults have access to the skills, training and opportunities they need to succeed. Our focus remains on supporting the long-term prosperity of the communities we serve."
