The Marketing department at Inspire Education Group (IEG), comprising Stamford College, Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough, was recognised at the College Marketing Network’s FE First Awards 2024.The prestigious event, highly regarded in the sector, is the only one of its kind to solely celebrate marketing in the further education arena, and IEG’s very own were honoured to receive 3 awards.
The grand ceremony unfolded at the Crowne Plaza in Birmingham City Centre, where marketing teams and individuals in colleges and sixth forms from across the country gathered to celebrate their collective achievements in 15 categories. Before long, Inspire Education Group were called to the stage, having secured both a Silver Award in the Innovation & Creativity category, and Gold in the Low Budget Campaign division, in recognition of the School Liaison ‘Mythbuster’ programme. A dynamic board game which encourages students at local schools to explore their options and share their concerns about college life and post-GCSE study, the game asks students to order a series of ‘myths’ into different categories of concern, which are then debunked by the presenter, Group School Liaison Lead, Rosie Maclennan. Students are then provided with a ‘pop quiz’ that tests their knowledge on everything they’ve learnt from the session, in which the winning team receives a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. This fun addition sparks huge excitement amongst students, but also allows the team to gauge how informed they are once leaving the activity.
Inspire Education Group’s triumph continued into the night, with the team securing the Silver Award in the Internal Impact category, in acknowledgment of their heart-warming initiative, @stamfordeddication. An Instagram account that digitises the developmental journey of Eddi, Stamford College’s Trainee Therapy Dog, the page creates an online narrative that aligns with Eddi’s purpose of improving staff and student wellbeing. Regular Instagram posts serve as a continuous source of positive and uplifting content, fostering a shared sense of enjoyment among colleagues and learners, as they follow Eddi’s progression.
Inspire Education Group’s success at the FE First Awards 2024 reflects the organisation’s commitment to innovation, wellbeing, and support for the local youth, as they navigate the post-16 education landscape. IEG extends its gratitude to the College Marketing Network for this recognition.
