Inspire Education Group Recruiting English and Maths Lecturers Across Peterborough and Stamford

Inspire Education Group (IEG) is inviting experienced teachers, education professionals and those considering a career change to explore English and Maths lecturer opportunities at Peterborough College and Stamford College, with competitive salaries, funded teaching qualifications and opportunities for professional development.

Under the campaign message 'Your Subject. Their Future.', IEG is encouraging people from a range of professional backgrounds to consider a rewarding career in further education, helping young people develop essential English and Maths skills that support their progression into employment, further study and everyday life.

With salaries ranging from £29,725 to £37,527, depending on experience, the opportunities are open to experienced FE lecturers, school teachers looking for a fresh challenge and professionals interested in bringing their skills and experience into the classroom.

Applicants do not need to already hold a teaching qualification, with IEG offering to fund teaching qualifications for those joining from other professional backgrounds.

Alongside competitive salaries, staff can benefit from generous annual leave, Teachers' Pension Scheme employer contributions of 28.6%, ongoing professional development, wellbeing support and a range of employee benefits.

Different Journeys into Teaching

Luke, English Lecturer, joined the college after 15 years working as a Prison Officer, bringing his experience in rehabilitation, communication and supporting others into the classroom.

"I wanted to try to bring some of my previous experiences into this environment and have the opportunity to be a positive role model for young people."

Lauren, GCSE English Lecturer, progressed into teaching after a decade working in student support roles within further education, inspired by her own experiences as a college student.

"It is rewarding to see these success stories from my perspective, knowing that I was part of their journey."

Kathryn, English Lecturer, joined Peterborough College in 2024 after 16 years working in specialist education, bringing her experience of supporting students with additional needs into English teaching.

"IEG and the management team have been wonderfully supportive; I feel thoroughly backed, yet trusted to teach in a way that works best for my classes."

Your Subject. Their Future.

As an award-winning education group supporting approximately 12,000 learners across its provision, IEG offers opportunities to contribute to students' achievements while developing a rewarding career.

Whether applicants are already working in education or considering teaching for the first time, IEG is keen to hear from individuals who are passionate about their subject and supporting young people to succeed.
