Amelia Bollons, who completed a Supported Internship with Inspire Education Group, has secured employment at the Holiday Inn.

Our Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team was invited to the Holiday Inn where Amelia proudly showed us her day-to-day tasks and told us what it was like to be part of the front-of-house team. Laura Rees, Head of Faculty of SEND, was given an in-depth tour by Amelia.

Amelia was visibly proud of her achievement, saying, “I get the tables ready for lunchtime and sometimes it can get really busy. I look after the coffee machines, help set the tables, and bartend too! I’m really proud, this whole experience has made me really emotional.”

Ben Morecome, General Manager at Holiday Inn, said, “Amelia is a really capable individual and we love working with her. She’s passionate and wants to make a difference.”

In Inspire Education Group’s recent OFSTED report, the provision for learners with higher needs was awarded an Outstanding rating. “Students in receipt of high-needs funding enjoy being at college and make excellent progress. They benefit from ambitious programmes and study in calm, inclusive environments where they feel safe to ask questions and participate fully in sessions.”
