Alicia Kearns MP Visits Stamford College to Explore IEG’s Impact on Education

Inspire Education Group (IEG) welcomed Alicia Kearns MP for a visit to the Stamford College campus and were proud to demonstrate their achievements in transforming lives through education and skills training to meet the needs of local learners and regional employers.
IEG’s Principal & CEO, Rachel Nicholls, alongside colleagues Julia Bates and Ed Thomas, showcased IEG’s diverse curriculum offer, including higher education, SEND support, apprenticeships, and adult education, emphasising the strength of the organisation post-merger with Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough in 2020.
Alicia commented, “Visiting Stamford College and meeting staff last week it was clear their dedication to giving students the skills they need to find the career path suited to them. With the support of the Inspire Education Group there are a fascinating range of career-focused courses on offer to students and adult students, to help them develop the skills they want to build the future they seek.”
During the discussions, the IEG Executive Team addressed the current challenges facing further education particularly, such as funding constraints and skilled recruitment difficulties, while also highlighting opportunities for growth through initiatives like the Centre for Green Technology and T Levels. IEG's new strategy, ‘Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Exceptional’, for 2024-2030 was presented, underscoring its commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and innovation in education, bolstered by a ‘Good’ Ofsted report and strong achievement rates.
The visit reinforced IEG's dedication to collaborating with local stakeholders to enhance educational opportunities and address community needs.
