IEG Drives Green Skills Agenda at CPCA Regional Careers Conference

Inspire Education Group (IEG) was proud to contribute to the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Careers Hub Conference on 2nd July, where education, business and local leaders came together to explore how best to prepare young people to develop green skills for the future world of work.

As a key contributor, IEG supported a workshop focused on integrating green skills into careers education, sharing best practices with secondary and special educational needs (SEND) schools, employers and key regional stakeholders.

The session also provided an opportunity to highlight IEG’s flagship investment in sustainability education: the new Centre for Green Technology at Peterborough College. Set to welcome students later this year, the Centre is a £13.5 million facility that will deliver cutting-edge training in retrofit, electric vehicle systems, low-carbon construction and alternative heat technologies — supporting the region’s transition to net zero.

IEG’s involvement further demonstrates the Group’s leadership in delivering technical and vocational education that meets employer demand and regional priorities, reinforcing the strength of the city’s education partnership.

By participating in this collaborative initiative, IEG continues to deliver on its strategic priorities, particularly by leading the way in sustainability, empowering communities, and continually evolving its curriculum to equip every learner with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive.
