IEG shortlisted for Training Provider of the Year as finalists named for Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards 2025

Inspire Education Group (IEG), which includes Stamford College, Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough, is proud to be named a finalist for the prestigious Training Provider/Programme of the Year award at the Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards 2025.

Alongside this recognition, a number of apprentices and employer partners trained or supported by IEG have also been shortlisted, highlighting the Group’s role as one of the region’s leading skills hubs and a driving force for economic growth.

Apprenticeships are a cornerstone of skills development and a vital pathway for nurturing new talent in the Peterborough region. They offer a powerful combination of on-the-job training and academic study, providing apprentices with the practical skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers. For employers, apprenticeships are an invaluable tool for building a skilled and dedicated workforce. They allow companies of all sizes and across every industry to invest in their future, ensuring a pipeline of talent that is perfectly aligned with their specific needs. By embracing apprenticeships, businesses not only contribute to the economic vitality of the region but also empower the next generation of professionals, creating a lasting legacy of growth and innovation.

James Whybrow, Group Director of Apprenticeships & Employer Engagement, said:

“Being named a finalist for Training Provider of the Year is a huge honour and reflects the impact we are making as one of the region’s largest skills providers. To also see so many of our apprentices and employer partners shortlisted shows the strength of our partnerships, the talent of our learners and the dedication of our staff. Together, we are helping businesses thrive, boosting the local economy and transforming lives through skills and education.”

In addition to celebrating its finalists, IEG is also proud to be a sponsor of the Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards, supporting the recognition of apprentice and employer success throughout the region.
