Inspire Education Group Celebrate Colleges Week 2026: Skills for all

Inspire Education Group (IEG) is proud to be celebrating Colleges Week 2026, joining colleges across the country in recognising the vital role further education plays in supporting learners, employers and communities.

Led by the Association of Colleges (AoC), Colleges Week shines a spotlight on how colleges are engines of opportunity, helping people of all ages gain skills, progress into work and higher education, and contribute to local and national economic growth.

Across Peterborough College, Stamford College and University Centre Peterborough, IEG supports thousands of learners each year through a wide-ranging offer that includes technical and vocational education, apprenticeships, adult learning, higher education and tailored support for learners with additional needs. This work reflects the core Colleges Week themes of skills for the future, inclusion, sustainability and community impact.

IEG plays an active role in addressing regional skills needs by working closely with employers, local authorities and partners to ensure its curriculum is responsive and future-focused. From supporting apprenticeships and T Levels to delivering higher technical and degree-level pathways, the Group helps learners progress into meaningful employment while supporting businesses to develop a skilled local workforce.

Colleges Week also highlights the importance of colleges as anchors in their communities. Through initiatives such as adult education, ESOL provision, employability support and employer engagement, IEG helps widen participation, tackle skills gaps and support social mobility across Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
