During the discussion, Rachel highlighted the £13.7m Centre for Green Technology at Peterborough College as a strong example of how strategic investment can support long-term economic growth, strengthen the region’s skills pipeline and create new opportunities for learners and employers.
Rachel was joined on the panel by Rob Facer, Pep Cipriano, and Darren Roe IEng FSOE FIRTE, with the conversation recognising how collective action across regeneration, transport, education and place-making will shape the future prosperity of Peterborough.
IEG would like to thank local leaders including Andrew Pakes MP, Paul Bristow, Dr Shabina Asad Qayyum, Professor Ross Renton and Charlotte Horobin for recognising and supporting the role education plays in driving skills, growth and opportunity across the city.
As part of IEG’s commitment to supporting the local economy and developing future-ready talent, the Group will continue working with partners across the region to ensure learners can access high-quality training, progression routes and the skills needed to thrive in growing industries.
