Cllr Rhea Rayside Visits IEG’s Stamford College to Explore Skills and Training Opportunities

Stamford College, part of Inspire Education Group, recently welcomed Councillor Rhea Rayside for a tour of the campus, providing an opportunity to explore the wide range of opportunities available to learners and gain insight into the impact of further education across the local community.

During the visit, Councillor Rayside met staff and toured several curriculum areas, including Beauty Therapy, Early Years, and Health and Social Care provision, where she was able to see students developing industry-relevant skills in purpose-built learning environments.

A particular highlight of the visit was the college's Creative Arts exhibition, which showcased the talent, creativity and achievements of students across a range of disciplines. Councillor Rayside was impressed by both the quality of the work on display and the stories behind it, hearing how students have progressed through their studies and gone on to transformational careers and further opportunities.

The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss the breadth of provision available across Inspire Education Group, including areas such as construction, sport, public services and animal care, demonstrating the wide range of pathways available to learners across the region.

Councillor Rayside left with a strong appreciation of the diverse opportunities available at Stamford College and the role the college plays in helping learners develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to succeed in their chosen futures.
