IEG Commit to Preventing Harassment, Abuse and Violence with White Ribbon Accreditation

Inspire Education Group is committed to working towards ending men’s violence against women by becoming White Ribbon Accredited, aligning with White Ribbon UK, the leading charity engaging men and boys to end violence against women.

As an accredited organisation, Inspire Education Group will deliver a comprehensive multi-year plan to transform our staff culture, systems, and the wider community we operate in.

White Ribbon Accreditation is an opportunity to make our workplace a safe place for men and women, and to upskill our staff to become changemakers. Some of the actions that will be taken include developing and strengthening policies relating to domestic abuse, sexual harassment and gender-based violence; establishing a steering group to oversee progress; expanding a network of White Ribbon Ambassadors and Champions across the organisation; delivering staff training on issues such as consent, coercive control and domestic abuse; and embedding education on healthy relationships, allyship and gender-based violence into student and apprenticeship programmes.

Laila Bentley, Assistant Principal Student Experience and Support said, "We are proud to achieve White Ribbon Accreditation, which reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a culture of respect, safety and equality across Inspire Education Group. This is not just a recognition, but a responsibility. Through education, awareness and collective action, we are determined to play our part in preventing harassment, abuse and violence against women and girls, and to empower our staff and students to be active changemakers within our communities.”

The White Ribbon UK Team, said: “White Ribbon Accredited Organisations can make a real difference towards ending violence against women by promoting a culture of respect and equality among their staff and wider communities. By raising awareness among employees, people can learn how to become allies and call out violent and abusive behaviour when they see it.

"We are delighted to welcome Inspire Education Group as one of our White Ribbon Accredited Organisations and are looking forward to working with them towards ending violence against women once and for all”.

White Ribbon is the UK’s leading charity engaging men and boys to prevent violence against women and girls.
