NHS Leader Visits IEG’s Peterborough College to Explore Future Workforce Development

Inspire Education Group recently welcomed Charlotte Williams, Deputy CEO of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT), to see first-hand how Inspire Education Group (IEG) is supporting the development of the future healthcare workforce.

The visit provided an opportunity to discuss how IEG’s curriculum and facilities align with the ambitions set out in the Government’s 10-Year Health Plan for England, which focuses on building a skilled, sustainable workforce to meet the changing needs of the NHS.

During the visit, Charlotte toured a range of specialist learning environments, including the college’s purpose-built healthcare training room and dedicated mental health facilities. These industry-focused spaces give students practical, real-world experience and help prepare them for careers across the health and care sector.

The visit also highlighted IEG’s commitment to working closely with employers to ensure its provision remains responsive to workforce demands. Through ongoing collaboration with NHS partners, the Group continues to adapt its curriculum, facilities and training opportunities to equip learners with the skills needed to support the future of healthcare.

The tour demonstrated how IEG is playing an important role in helping the NHS develop the workforce required to deliver high-quality care for local communities, both now and in the years ahead.
